プロフィール芝公園の一角で、古代美術品を扱う「ギャラリー三日月」を営んでいた祖父から普遍的な美学と哲学を学び、切り絵でアートの本質を表現しています。中学時代にはまった消しゴム判子をきっかけに始めた切り絵を通してさまざまな表現を模索、無心で紙を切り、美を通じて希望を感じられるような切り絵制作をしていた頃の、朝から気がつけば翌朝まで制作に没頭する集中力は、祈りにも似た純粋さでした。ただただ美しいものを通して人の心に光を灯したいと思っていました。
そして現在。身近な人の死や社会の変動を経験し、世の中の光と影を知り、創造は私自身の希望の光となり、祈りに近い普遍性を意識するようになりました。この、誰もが持つ祈りのような願いやZ想いを、どのように表現していこうかと悩み、日本の神々にフォーカスしました。
かつて宗教とアートは祈りを通じて文化を育み、不可欠な存在でした。現代ではその結びつきは薄れつつも、創造力は人類を支え、新たな文化を生む力であり続けています。
日本は「日の出ずる国」として、太陽神・天照大御神や自然との結びつきが文化に根付いています。
作品では、太陽の光は希望を、闇は避けがたい現実を象徴します。それでも希望を求める心を、人生に一筋の光が差し込むような作品で表現。
作品は、切り絵、独自の箔押しと錆箔技法、日本画を融合した形で取り組み、銀箔の経年劣化風で、侘び寂びの背景に存在する普遍性を表しています。金箔の輝きで光を、漆黒の背景と錆箔のコントラストで陰を強調し、特許を取得した切り絵と箔押し技術で独自の美を追求しています。

At a corner of Shiba Park, I learned universal aesthetics and philosophy from my grandfather, who ran the "Gallery Mikazuki," dealing in ancient art. Through cut-out art, I express the essence of art, which began with making eraser stamps in middle school. Immersed in cutting paper without thought, I sought to bring hope to others through beauty. This focus, often stretching from morning to the next dawn, felt like a prayer-like purity, driven by a desire to light a spark in people's hearts through beautiful creations.
Now, having experienced the loss of loved ones and societal upheavals, I have come to know life's light and shadow. Creation has become my own beacon of hope, imbued with a prayer-like universality. Seeking to express this universal longing, I turned my focus to Japan's deities.
In the past, religion and art nurtured culture through prayer, serving as indispensable forces. Though their connection has weakened in modern times, creativity remains a vital force, supporting humanity and giving rise to new cultures.
Japan, known as the "land of the rising sun," is deeply rooted in the culture of the sun goddess Amaterasu and harmony with nature. In my work, sunlight symbolizes hope, while darkness represents unavoidable reality. Yet, I aim to capture the heart's pursuit of hope, crafting works that evoke a ray of light piercing through life.
My creations blend cut-out art, foil stamping, traditional Japanese painting, and my unique "rusted foil technique." The weathered texture of silver foil embodies the universal essence of wabi-sabi. The gleam of gold foil highlights light, while the contrast of blackened backgrounds and rusted foil accentuates shadow. With patented cut-out and foil-stamping techniques, I pursue a distinctive beauty.
