プロフィールタニグチカナコ：広島県出身
自身が被爆3世であり、人や歴史との繋がりの形を探る事をテーマに和紙や墨など日本画の古典的な素材や技法を用いて制作している。京都を拠点に活動。

Her grandmother was a survivor of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima,
making her a third-generation survivor. This experience motivates her
interest in blood relations and connections with other people.
Her style is heavily inspired by the traditional Japanese ink
paintings (nigonga) of international renown, but she adds her own
twist by using local art paper and ink. To her, Japanese paper has the
texture of human skin, a quality she leans into by using paper dyed
with natural materials.
Her works explore themes surrounding interpersonal connections
between people, envisioned as disembodied figures twisting
themselves together.
