プロフィール1987年、大阪府生まれ。
20代でウミウシと出会い、その形態的多様性と生息環境に魅了される。以後、ウミウシの住環境を、幼少期より親しんできた日本の伝統文様へと置換し、両者を交錯させながら描く実践を続けている。
生物としてのウミウシと、松や雲、波といった象徴的なモチーフとを重ね合わせることで、装飾性と生物学的リアリティ、過去と現在、個と他者といった領域が、作家の身体感覚や記憶を媒介に緩やかに接続されていく。
そこに立ち上がるのは、伝統的な意匠の語彙を用いながらも、その意味や機能が再編成された、ハイブリッドな視覚空間である。
異なる要素が感情や感覚を通して接続されるとき、そこにいかなる整合や共鳴が生まれるのか。
一個人の内的秩序は、どこまで他者の感受性に作用し得るのか。
そうした問いを根幹としながら、絵画という場での応答を試みている。
Born in Osaka in 1987.
In her twenties, Moe encountered nudibranchs and was captivated by their morphological diversity and the unique marine environments they inhabit. Since then, she has continued to explore a practice that merges these creatures’ habitats with the traditional Japanese patterns she has been familiar with since childhood.
By layering nudibranchs with symbolic motifs such as pine trees, clouds, and waves, her work creates gentle connections between ornamentation and biological reality, the past and the present, the self and the other—all mediated through embodied memory and perception.
What emerges is a hybrid visual space that reconfigures the vocabulary and function of traditional design.
When disparate elements are connected through emotion and sensation, what kind of resonance or coherence can arise?
To what extent can an individual’s inner sense of order touch the sensitivities of others?
Through these questions, her paintings seek to open a contemplative space for response and reflection.
